The new documentary "Africa Unite" by film maker Stephanie Black(Maker of Life+Debt) will premiere in Kingston, Jamaica on the 23rd Feb.2008.
This will coincide with the Africa Unite concert which will be held in Jamaica for the first time, at James Bond Beach, St Mary.
The double billed event is part of the celebrations that mark the 63rd anniversary of the birth of late Reggae superstar Robert Nesta Marley.
The film is said to "highlight the vision for African unity to which Bob Marley was devoted throughout his musical career", featuring Rita Marley, Danny Glover, Angelique Kidjo, Lauryn Hill and the Marley children, it will be shown at the Hilton Kingston Hotel
On Feb.6th 2005 over 350,000 people gathered in Meskel Square,Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to celebrate what would have been Marley's 60th birthday, the concert there lasted for over 12hrs and was said to have been a huge success. The new documentary is interwoven with clips of footage taken from the 2005 concert.

This all takes place the day after the Reggae Film Festival (20th-22nd Feb.) so what better excuse do you need to go to Jamaica!
