The King Of One String Premieres in Colombia on 10/14/2009

The short film "The King Of One String" about Jamaican living legend 'Brushy One String', premieres tonight 10/14/2009 in Bogotá, Colombia as part of the music series of the dutch film festival, Beeld voor Beeld.

Brushy One String is what some might call a local living legend or folk hero, he's been on the seen for a long time and is well known for his unique musical talents. He plays a one stringed guitar! yes one stringed! yet seems to produce some amazing sounds from just one string, you won't beleive it until you see him in action.

I was watching an old documentary from the late 80's/early 90's about Bunny Wailer the other day and i noticed Brushy appeared in this. I think it was the documentary 'Under The Coolie Plum Tree'.

The makers of 'The King Of One String' are also the same producers of the long awaited 'Rise Up' documentary which is due for release very shortly, lets hope they put this documentary about Bushy as a dvd extra.
