Looking for info on latest Jamaican film productions....

I'm making the post in the hope that some of our Jamaican readers may be able to help. I've struggled for along time to find a reliable source for information on the latest Jamaican film productions.

There are always films/documentaries/news reports being made in Jamaica, i do my best to search for information on whats going on in JA but could really do with some help so that we can keep an up to date list of all the documentaries and films that are made on the island. If anyone can help us with information, whether it be the title of the show or name of the film maker, no matter how small, we can use this info to help list these films on this blog so that we have a permenant public list of films made, if anyone can help give us info on films being shot please drop us an email at info@reggaefilms.co.uk or you can leave info in a comment on any of the posts on this blog and i will pick them up.

While i'm making this request for films currently being made for this blog list i'm also looking for information on any old Jamaican documentaries, dramas or films. The only official list of Jamaican films from Jamaica is the Film Commisions website but the list is very limited. I've been documenting films for several years now but i'm still lacking info on films made by Jamaican's who reside on the island and films that where made for or by JBC in particular.

If anyone can help with information then please get in touch. I'm compiling a comprehensive list of Jamaican film which will be an permenant record of Jamaican film and films made about Jamaican culture which will help to preserve the film history of Jamaica, so far we're doing very well with films made by non-jamaican residents but when it comes to films made by Jamaicans there is very little information available and some of the most significant figures in the history of Jamaican film are unwilling to talk about their work, so any help is most apreciated.

I'd also like to hear from anyone who might be interested in supporting the important research work that is being done to create a complete and comprehensive list of Jamaican film.
